  • Tanqia

    Developed by Elwan Group, Mubadala Development Company and Overseas Trading Company, Tanqia has been granted a 33-year concession to build and operate the first and only privately-held wastewater treatment system in the Middle East. Tanqia's state-of-the-art mechanical and biological purification processes transform wastewater into a vital natural resource: treated water safe for a variety of non-potable uses.

    Tanqia Dibba

    Tanqia Dibba FZC, wholly-owned by Elwan Group, was formed to develop a centralized wastewater treatment system for the population centers within the triangle connecting Bidia, Aqqa and Dibba in the Emirate of Fujairah.

    Tanqia Environment

    Building on Tanqia and Tanqia Dibba's momentum in the UAE, Elwan Group formed Tanqia Environment. Using its unrivaled category experience, Tanqia Environment will take a vertically integrated approach to the wastewater value chain and has launched an expansion of wastewater treatment development activity across the Middle East, North Africa and beyond. Tanqia Environment's activities encompass the development of new wastewater systems, the efficient manufacture of sewer pipes and equipment, the acquisition and rationalization of existing systems and the development of solid waste management systems.

    A key focus of Tanqia Environment is the integration of solid waste and wastewater treatment systems to maximize efficiency and environmental sustainability.

    Already pre-qualified or selected for large-scale projects in Jordan, Egypt, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, Tanqia Environment is on its way to creating the first integrated, regional wastewater utility. Elwan Group anticipates that the Company will continue to grow quickly by positioning itself to benefit from marketplace trends and by tapping the public capital markets.

    Siyana FZC was established to operate Tanqia’s wastewater treatment systems efficiently and to maintain superior standards of excellence, compliance and safety. Siyana operates and maintains wastewater treatment systems for both the City of Fujairah and Dibba. Elwan Group is the majority shareholder of the company.

  • Solid Waste Management

    In light of Tanqia’s overwhelming success, Elwan was awarded the contract to design, construct, operate, finance Fujairah’s Municipal Solid Waste System. To do so, Elwan established BeeAa FZC, a company responsible for the collection, sorting, recycling and disposal of municipal solid waste throughout the emirate. BeeAa was created to provide competitively-priced services that adhere to the highest standards of environmental sustainability, thus maximizing both shareholder value and the benefit to the people of Fujairah.
